A forum for students to share their initial field observations, comments on readings, and suggestions and recommendations from research on the web and elsewhere.
Last week I had mentioned that my subject major was Earth Science and that I liked rocks, so when one of the students brought in rocks, Mrs. Chandler told him to wait for me to come in on Friday and then I would teach about them to the class. I labeled 2 sheets of construction paper: Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic. Then I put the rocks on the papers and explained how each type is formed. During Morning Meeting I passed them around and they were all very into the rocks! It was a great experience!
