Seems like power and control are synonymous

I know that it's a given that we have legitimate power in the classroom and can if we choose practice the reward and coercive power. We as teachers will also be automatically viewed with having expertise, therefore making expert power a given. It is my hope that I would have referent power when I become a teacher because this might help in educating them better and having some sort of connection to be able to guide them and teach them.
