I just came across this very interesting video. I thought I would share it with everyone. The video is about how teachers should use current technology to educate their students in today's world, who are considered Digital Learners.
I think the Text Messaging example is a very clever way to engage students in their studies.

Glad you found this, Carlos...someone posted it in another section of mine, and a flurry of comments followed. I'm a little surprised no one has commented here yet!
That was such an interesting video which reinforces the other video posted earlier... technology keeps on changing and there's so many tools available for us to teach but at the same time there's so much for us to learn and keep up with in order to teach more effectively.
My daughter's 5th grade teacher is definitely using technology to teach.. he has a website which enables his students to access everything from the textbooks used in class to homework. It came in very handy for us this week since my daughter has been out of school.
I agree with Maria there is so much technology that can help us in our classroom and teachers tend to just ignore it. I think that teaching with the text messages and using the ipod as tools would really help the students.
