Since you're not busy writing field reports and reflections, I decided to visit an old Blog to find some sites some of my former students found interesting. Take a look at some of these--if they're a bit out of date, post some new info for us.
Also, think about what you'd like to make your next presentation on. I know that some of you haven't had a first pass yet, but we could add some second presentations when we have time. Suggestions include: After-school programs, inclusion, bullying,
favoritism in the classroom...and I'm sure you can think of others.

(I know that last one is old--can you find some current info on the subject?)
So...hope you enjoy reading and sharing your thoughts on these topics...

I would suggest a)Learning Disabilities b)Classroom Management c)Social and Economic effects in the classroom d)Different types of state testings.
I would love to do a second presentation on either Learning Disabilities such as ADD ADHD Dyslexia etc. or I can also do one on After school programs. Prof. Tomich since I like both of the topics, if you can pick one out for me that would be great. Thank you.
Good suggestions Maria.
What do you mean by Social and Economic effects in the classroom? Disparities among classmates?
Why don't you go with classified learning disabilities w/ descriptions would be a great topic. Someone else can do after-school programs.
I forget how to edit comments. Can someone please instruct?
(As you can see in the comment above, my syntax coulduse editing!)
Thanks.
Actually I was talking about how different Social and Economic backgrounds affect classroom instructions and curriculum. For example in my daughter's class everyone is expected to have computers and computer access at home as part of their instruction. How it is used and how it differs from other schools or classrooms along with other different Social and Economic factors and its effects on how a class or school is taught can be a good topic.
I will do the Learning Disabilities and I can do it on May 2nd if that's alright. I can't remember the other dates that other first presenters are doing and I think May we are all back in the classroom. Thank you.
If nobody minds i would like to do the presentation on after-school programs. I guess I can go on May 2nd as well.
Could I please do a presentation on bullying. It's a subject I feel very strongly about. I believe a child should be able to go to school to learn and not be scared of the other people there.
Did I answer you somewhere else on this Claire? If not, then yes--glad you're interested...there's a lot of research on bullying.
